Safe and Happy Halloween
Our Lewis & Daggett team wishes a safe and Happy Halloween for you, your guests, and your children. Safety tips combined with common sense can help ensure that your Halloween season is safe and enjoyable for your children and you!

Kids love Halloween! They get to dress up and get free snacks and goodies. Children look forward to Halloween for many months in advance. Following a few simple safety guidelines will give your children precious Halloween memories that they will have for life.
Of course, one of the highlights of Halloween is trick or treating. However, we need to be careful how much candy the children eat and set a good example for a healthy lifestyle. An easy technique is to feed the children a filling meal before they head out trick or treating. That way, they won't be as tempted to eat too much candy before they bring it home. This gives parents both the opportunity to monitor the candy consumption, and to inspect the candy for any hidden dangers.
We published a helpful list of Halloween safety tips last year in an article Halloween Safety. You can click back through to that article to read our practical list of Halloween safety tips.
An additional area for awareness this year is that Halloween is on a Saturday. Accordingly, there are sure to be more adult Halloween parties and activities. Therefore, it is even more important for parents to carefully supervise their children and to follow our list of Halloween safety tips, particularly while the children are out on the neighborhood streets.
Adult Halloween celebrations have their own inherent dangers. Please, help keep an eye on the drinking and don't let it get out of hand. Be sure to take the keys away from anyone who has too much to drink and may be driving. Of course, the best answer is to stay safe and sober, and to offer rides home for people who may have had too much to drink.
Help our community make Halloween a fun, safe, and happy time for everyone. Your kids will love the fun and excitement, and will carry on safe Halloween traditions in the future and with their own families.
Happy Halloween!
