ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF

Stephen L. Hamilton
Stephen has been with Lewis & Daggett for the past seven years in his role as network administrator. He takes care of the technology needs of the firm including the servers, computers, printers and phone systems at all three Lewis & Daggett office locations. His work ensures that Lewis & Daggett is able to serve all clients quickly and efficiently. A graduate of N.C. A&TStateUniversity with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, he stays abreast of rapidly changing technologies. He also received his Cisco certification from ForsythTechnicalCommunity College.

Kenneth Haynes
Kenneth Haynes is a native of nearby YadkinCounty. He began his career in journalism with The Winston-Salem Journal. His natural tendency for research and detection led to his position of investigator for Lewis & Daggett. In this role his primary responsibilities include locating and interviewing witnesses, preparing detailed documentation of those interviews, researching public records to determine prior criminal activity and assets, and taking photographs to aid in the settlement or trial of cases. He has been with Lewis & Daggett since 1990.

Dana Pack
Dana Pack is a previous U. S. Navy servicewoman and brings an experience of running a tight ship. She joined Lewis & Daggett in 2000 and ensures that the office runs smoothly for our staff and ultimately for our clients. Occasionally you will see her smiling face at the front desk as she greets clients and other visitors. Dana truly enjoys her family and doing various activities like camping, going to the beach and most importantly going to church together. Dana will soon have an empty nest, as her son is in college and her daughter just recently graduated from high school.

Trena Sides 
Trena recently joined Lewis & Daggett as the newest member of the marketing team. With 20 years experience in marketing, printing and promotions, she brings experience and a passion for being a part of a firm dedicated to helping others. She has a love for creativity, learning, teaching, and working with children and is looking forward to being a part of Safe Sober Prom Night and contributing to other projects directed at the area youth. Time away from work is family time. She and her daughter have many interests and much of the time you will find them involved in school, basketball, and soccer activities. Originally from Winston-Salem, which is still home, she also enjoys spending time with family and friends in the area. Other interests include anything creative, reading, cooking, learning, and an occasional biking or hiking adventure! 

Arlene Southern
Arlene joined Lewis & Daggett in 1995 and has over 20 years of experience in the legal field. She is responsible for virtually all incoming and outgoing correspondence in our office and always makes sure important documents are delivered on time. She also processes correspondence and discovery documents for the partners that are to be sent to opposing attorneys. Despite her busy schedule, she still makes time to bake delicious goodies for the staff and clients. She and her husband have three adult children. Arlene is active in her church and enjoys gardening.

Cindy Wiles.
Since 2002, Cindy is usually the first face you see or the first voice you hear when you call on Lewis & Daggett. She has 20 years of experience and is known for her warm smile and professionalism. All clients and visitors receive prompt assistance along with Cindy’s natural kindness and respect. Cindy is a native of Forsyth County, which may account for that true southern hospitality. She enjoys being a mom, wife and grandmother and spending lots of time with her family.

LEGAL SUPPORT STAFF

Lisa Ashworth
Since joining Lewis & Daggett in June 2000, Lisa has served as a client service legal assistant. She knows that many of those she assists may have never before contacted a law office and she takes great pride at putting them at ease with her expertise, friendliness, and courtesy. Her legal knowledge combined with ten years of emergency medical experience makes Lisa a natural in gathering pertinent information about a case to ensure the best overall outcome for the client. Lisa’s passion is her family and she loves being a mom. It really is all about family, especially when it comes to sports. One can usually find them together at their sons’ games, practices, and the local Y. Travel time to their eldest son’s activities will soon be a longer drive as he is entering Appalachian State University this autumn. Lisa and her family live in King and are active members in their church, where they enjoy teaching preschool Sunday school.

Wendy Boling
Wendy serves as a settlement/liens coordinator, after a settlement has been reached, she reviews the client’s file to determine what, if any, liens are owed and makes sure that the case is disbursed properly. Previously, Wendy was a licensed life, accident, and health insurance agent with a Medicare/long term care firm, which serves her well in working with providers to get liens and other debts reduced. This is an extra service that Lewis & Daggett provides to help clients with their financial situations. Wendy is very active in her Moravian church where she plays trumpet. In her off-time she enjoys crafts and supporting ACC basketball and her favorite pro football teams.

Kathy Brewer
The philosophy of if you have to work, then do what you love applies to Kathy, as she is passionate about the work of litigation. She has fourteen years of extensive experience that she applies on a daily basis in her work with Mike Lewis. Kathy is originally a ‘Bama girl, but has fallen in love with North Carolina, but you might often hear “roll Tide baby!” She relocated to High Point, North Carlina in 2007 for her husband’s employment. Kathy, her husband and two children have settled in and enjoy their family time together and anything outdoors.

Rachelle Britt
Rachelle joined the Lewis & Daggett team in June 2008. She is a legal assistant whose primary responsibility is case management in the Workers’ Compensation Department. She earned an Associate in Paralegal Technology degree from ForsythTechnicalCommunity College. Additionally, she has nine years experience in the specialty of workers’ compensation. Rachelle and her family reside in Winston-Salem. Her favorite time is spending time with her family and friends. Sometimes you may see her riding her motorcycle or working out at the gym, as these are some of the fun activities she enjoys.

Krztena Brooks
Krztena has over 12 years experience as a Social Security disability legal assistant and supports the Social Security Department. She carries a full case load while also assisting clients with potential cases. She is originally from the area of southwest Virginia and graduated from EastTennesseeStateUniversity with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications. Home is in Winston-Salem with her husband, two cats and a Labrador retriever.

Katie Carter
Katie joined Lewis & Daggett in August 2009 and serves as the administrative assistant in the Greensboro office. She is originally from Fredericksburg, Virginia, but made the permanent move to North Carolina in 2004 after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a B.A. in Communication Studies. Katie resides in Greensboro and is engaged to be married. At home you will find her two children, Lola and Pinkie, which are really two adorable pugs. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé, family and friends, working out, decorating, gardening and reading.

Ann Clifton
For 20 years Ann has served clients and potential clients at Lewis & Daggett in various positions and presently as a client service legal assistant. Her tremendous knowledge allows her to assist with the intake of new clients. Her dedication and exceptional people and customer service skills are essential to the firm’s commitment to our clients and their ultimate satisfaction. 

Suzanne Collins
Suzanne is a litigation legal assistant and certified paralegal with Lewis & Daggett. Her role includes preparing cases for trial and assisting the litigation attorney in all aspects of client and document preparation, discovery and litigation. Suzanne comes to the firm with 19 years of prior legal experience which includes a background of personal injury and medical malpractice cases. She holds a degree in English from University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a Paralegal Certificate from SouthCentralCareerCollege, where she graduated first in her class. Suzanne enjoys refereeing basketball, soccer and roller hockey, as well as working with kids at the YMCA and spending time her fiancé and his son.

Carol Fearn
Carol joined Lewis & Daggett in October of 2008. She is a client service legal assistant and a settlement/liens coordinator in our Greensboro office. Her position entails assisting potential clients by gathering important information regarding their case and obtaining settlement balances for cases that have been settled or are in litigation. Home is now in Greensboro, but she is originally from the United Kingdom. Carol enjoys spending time visiting her son and family who live in nearby Burlington, going to concerts, and frequent beach trips.

Gail Fisher
Gail joined Lewis & Daggett in 2004 and is a certified paralegal with previous legal experience in personal injury law. She serves as a pre-litigation legal assistant in our Personal Injury Department. Gathering all pertinent information for a case and answering client questions is another part of her responsibilities after determining if potential clients have a case. She is a graduate of Appalachian State University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. She enjoys camping, hiking, travel and music.

Jennifer Glosson
In October 2007, Jennifer joined Lewis and Daggett in a hybrid role of pre-litigation and litigation assistant. Her seven-plus years of legal experience serve her well in assisting the firm’s chief negotiator. Often Jennifer handles insurance issues of a complex nature such as out-of-state claims, under-insured carriers and third party claims. Jennifer lives in nearby Greensboro with her family. In her free time, she enjoys reading, scrapbooking, baking and gardening.

Julie Greco
Julie joined Lewis & Daggett in 2005 and is a client service legal assistant. Part of her responsibilities include, collecting information about clients’ cases and assisting in the determination of potential cases. In addition to this area of work, she also gathers information and reviews potential medical malpractice claims, medical negligence claims and mass tort claims. Julie was born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia. She has an Associate in Secretarial Science degree from CentralVirginiaCommunity College and has over 20 years experience in the legal field. Home is in Winston-Salem with her husband and two step-children and attends TempleEmanuel. She enjoys volleyball, working out and spending time with her family.

Elvis Horning
Elvis is a pre-litigation legal assistant where he assists in the determination of potential cases and is consequently assigned to obtaining pertinent information for cases and assisting clients. He attended the University of West Los Angeles and also earned an Associate in Paralegal degree from PhillipsJunior College in Northridge, California. Additionally, he has 14 years of pre-litigation and litigation personal injury experience for both the plaintiff and the defendant. In his free time, Elvis enjoys dancing, hiking and camping with his wife and son.

Shannon Humphrey
Shannon Humphrey joined the Lewis & Daggett team in December 2007 as a legal assistant. She has five years legal experience including worker’s compensation and immigration law. Her primary responsibilities include case management in the Workers’ Compensation Department. She is also a graduate of SalemCollege, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English. Time away from Lewis & Daggett includes spending time with family and friends. She is a proud Duke fan — go Blue Devils!

Anisa Johnson
Anisa joined Lewis and Daggett in October 2007 and currently serves as a Social Security legal assistant. Her duties include carrying a full case load of Social Security disability claims, as well as assisting potential clients with any questions and concerns. Anisa brings forth patience, understanding and a strong desire to help those in need. She received her Associate in Business Administration degree from GuilfordTechnicalCommunity College. Along with knowledge of Social Security, Anisa has seven years prior legal experience in pre-litigation, workers compensation and criminal law. Anisa is very close to her family community and church congregation. She enjoys social gatherings, traveling to the beach, riding her bicycle, laughing out loud and being thankful for all that life has to offer. Anisa and her husband presently reside in Greensboro with their beloved pet Boxer “King”.

Sandra Lusk
Sandra joined the Lewis & Daggett team in January of 2007. She brings over eight years of legal experience to our pre-litigation department. As a legal assistant, Sandra helps to identify prospective clients and to aid in the development of their claims. Sandra is a graduate of UNC-Greensboro where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies. A resident of Winston Salem, Sandra is married with two daughters and three sons. Much of her family's time is spent enjoying the outdoors and participating in sports and adventure activities.

Cheryl Miller
Cheryl Miller is originally from Tampa, Florida and moved to North Carolina in 2001. She began her work in the legal field in 1998 and received her paralegal certification in 2005. Cheryl joined Lewis & Daggett in May 2009 in the Statesville office and serves as a litigation legal assistant. In this role she assists with all aspects of client and document preparation, discovery and litigation of the case. She is also a member of the North Carolina Bar Paralegal Division. When not at work she enjoys time with her husband and sports — particularly watching the Florida State Seminoles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers games. Not only a people person, she also loves animals, especially her two pet dogs, and is a supporter of the Humane Society.

Dawn Needham
Dawn has been with the firm since 1996. She is a certified paralegal and currently serves as negotiator and pre-litigation legal assistant. She has worked in the insurance field since 1994. She is a licensed North Carolina Insurance Adjuster and holds an Associate in Claims (AIC) designation from the Insurance Institute of America. Her primary responsibilities are in pre-litigation, with an emphasis on insurance claims’ settlements and property damage claims. As a negotiator, Dawn deals directly with claims adjusters to uphold the determination of the worth for our clients’ injuries. She has an Associate in Business degree and is also a graduate of SalemCollege with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations.

Tammy Pyrtle 
Tammy hails from K-Vegas, otherwise known as Kernersville, a small town in the Triad area of North Carolina. She graduated from nearby East Forsyth High School.  Even in high school she knew that she wanted to work in a law firm. She has a caring and compassionate personality and knew that these traits would be a plus when working with clients who need assistance. With ten years of legal experience in various areas of law, such as medical malpractice, workers’ compensation, personal injury and family law, she is a great asset for Lewis & Daggett.  Soon her daughter Candice will graduate from a local cosmetology school and Tammy will then again continue her additional studies. She enjoys watching football and spending time with friends and family — and Bubbles, the family dog.

Ashley Robbins
Ashley joined Lewis & Daggett in March of 2004. She has over 12 years of litigation experience and is a certified paralegal. As a litigation legal assistant she helps prepare cases for trial and assists the litigation attorney in all aspects of client and document preparation, discovery and litigation of the case. She received a Bachelor of Science from MeredithCollege and paralegal certification from DavidsonCountyCommunity College. Additionally, she previously taught paralegal classes at ForsythTechnicalCommunity College. In her free time, Ashley enjoys being with her husband and their two daughters. Warmer weather finds her enjoying water sports, boating and swimming.

           

Donna Warden
Donna joined Lewis & Daggett in June of 2008 as the medical records review coordinator. She serves the clients by screening and analyzing their medical records; provides assistance to attorneys and staff on medical record issues; and works at maintaining and enhancing client relationships. Donna is both a seasoned registered nurse and an educator. She is a native of West Virginia, a proud mother, married, and lives in High Point. 

Melissa Whitt
Melissa recently joined Lewis & Daggett and assists the Social Security Department. She was born and raised in southwest Virginia and eventually came to live in Welcome, North Carolina. Melissa graduated in 1989 from Virginia Intermont College, in Bristol, Virginia, with a Bachelor of Arts in Paralegal Studies. She is crafty with words as she enjoys creative writing when she is away from work, and is currently working on several pieces intended for publication. Melissa is also crafty with paint and loves to decorate and make old things new again. Only she jokes she can’t make it work on wrinkles. She is married to Rob, her husband of 11 years. And they share their home with Three Oaks King Napoleon (King for short), an English bulldog and their family pet.

MANAGEMENT STAFF

Linda Davis
Linda Davis has been with Lewis & Daggett since 1995 and has over 20 years in the legal field. She is the firm’s quality assurance administrator and makes sure that all of our potential clients are taken care of in the best possible manner. All of the settled personal injury cases for the firm are overseen by Linda to ensure that they are disbursed expediently, accurately and in compliance with State Bar regulations. In addition to her quality assurance duties, she also manages various data for the firm. Her constant analyses of this data guarantees optimal reporting which ensures that Lewis & Daggett consistently provides excellent client services.

Linda received a Bachelor of Science in Business Education (Cum laude) from North CarolinaCentralUniversity and an Associate in Paralegal Technology degree (Phi Theta Kappa) from ForsythTechnicalCommunity College. Linda and her husband have two adult children and five grandchildren.

Karen B. Googe
Karen Googe has more than 20 years of legal experience and has been with the firm since 1998. Karen manages the law offices as the firm’s law office administrator which includes supervision of human resources, technology operations, and general services. Safe Sober Prom Night, a non-profit organization founded by Lewis & Daggett, is also managed under the leadership of Karen. It is a program, that is currently held in 38 area high schools, that empowers teens to make wise decisions and stay safe and sober during prom night.

Recently Karen was elected president of the Triad Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) and additionally serves as secretary of the Law Practice Management Section of the NC Bar Association. She attended GreensboroCollege and SurryCommunity College where she earned associate degrees. Karen and her husband reside in ForsythCounty with their three daughters. She is a busy mom and loves spending time with her family and cheers on her daughters in basketball, volleyball, and softball. Even with a demanding schedule, Karen makes it a priority to be involved at church, allowing her to support others in the community.
